I have often written about the power of pausing, slowing down, relaxing. As we enter the colder season I am sharing some ways that I enjoy taking time for myself. Making warming vegetable soups from scratch, sipping hot herbal tea in my relaxation mug, baking, spending an extra few minutes cuddling in bed with my pets, wearing soft cuddly fabrics, getting up a little bit earlier that everyone else and doing my yoga while it is very dark, reading a book made of paper, knitting or any needle work, bubble baths,…. I do not just do these, I make them a ritual that is all about me celebrating each moment. The darkest time of the year can be difficult for some of us so I plan my enjoyments and relish the coziness of the season. Keep yourself sacred!
