Finding My Way Back To Me

As some of us are experiencing the chill of winter, I would like to share some tips that I find very useful.  First, drink plenty of water.  Water is needed as the heaters create drier environments, when we are active outdoors and to keep our bodies well hydrated.  If we start feeling sluggish it maybe dehydration, so drink up!  Humidifiers or plants are also helpful to keep our environments comfortable.  Wear plenty of sunscreen and sunglasses, snow can reflect and increase the danger of sunburn or damage to our eyes.  Moisturize!  When going outside for extended times I always put shea butter on my face and fingers, it acts like insulation.  Petroleum jelly works well, be aware of any skin sensitivity issues.  Any exposed skin and extremity should be protected.  Wear a hat, cover the neck and ears, and wear clothing that dries quickly (sweating in the cold can make us feel much colder).  Covering the forehead can help prevent the “freeze” headaches some of us get.   We can all enjoy even the coldest winter weather, just be safe.  I have spent a great deal of time biking, skiing  and shoveling snow in cold weather, these are some tips that have always helped me.  I hope these tips are useful to you.  Keep Yourself Sacred!!!
