When the days are their darkest I have found it is a wonderful time to go inward. Meditation, journaling, self examination, prayer, any contemplative practice seems well suited to the season of winter. While anticipating snow, when all is covered in white I celebrate the natural sounds of silence by reflection. Sometimes just listening and watching the season provide calm. When nature is sleeping while masked in white or grey reflection is the deepest. Certainly it is encouraged with a warm blanket and a hot cup of tea. Keep Yourself Sacred!
